Hello everyone,
Today I thought I would share with you a couple of ways to get into the festive Christmas spirit. Now I absolutely love the run up to Christmas and love to do as much christmassy things as possible, and it can be so in expensive too which is great. So if you are in need of a little Christmas spirit then you have come to the right blog...
1. Watch some classic Christmas films
There is nothing I love more than sitting on the sofa with my family and watching a classic Christmas film. I’m still yet to decide which one is my favourite but if you are in need of some ideas here are a few of my favourites: the holiday, love actually, the grinch, a Christmas carol, home alone (1 & 2) and of corse Elf. But I won’t lie I do also love taking a look on Netflix at some of their original Christmas films. I always feel sooo christmassy after watching some Christmas movies.
2. Visit a Christmas market
Now this is one of my favourite things to do to get myself in the festive mood. Luckily for me my town has a local Christmas market that is in town from 27th of November to the 15th of December. It is a great place to grab a Yorkshire pudding wrap ( which btw are absolutely amazing). It’s also a great place to go if you want to grab some mulled wine and take a stroll around the market! I just love seeing what all the little stalls have to offer and how much amazing food there is.
3. Go ice skating
Since I was around the age of 12, my family would always take a trip to cribs causeway in Bristol and have a look round the shops and then have a go on the ice rink! This is one thing that always gets me in the mood for Christmas especially because it’s something I love so much! There are so many ice rinks around the uk. A great one would be London’s national history museum rink or Somerset house ice rink! This would make one of the most christmassy days out and it’s always a great place for an Insta pic.
3. Do some Christmas baking
As some of you may know, I love baking and I absolutely love Christmas baking . I loveee making gingerbread because it’s a little more complex than your average cookie dough! I also find the decorating part so fun and it’s great to do with your mum, boyfriend, niece, nephew or even your nan! I have plenty of festive recipes up on my blog if you would like to take a look.
5. Make the most festive hot chocolate ever
This winter I have drank so much hot chocolate I’m surprised I haven’t turned into one. As much as I love Costa’s hazelnut Praline hot chocolate, I do love making my own and getting creative! I of course love to decorate with cream and then lots of sprinkles and chocolate. I also love adding a mini candy cane to the side of the mug as I think it just makes it taste so yummy and look amazing.
6. Wrap your Christmas gifts
This is one thing that always gets me into the Christmas spirit. I loveeee wrapping my Christmas gifts. Click here to see how I have wrapped my presents this year. I always pop on a Christmas film, make a hot chocolate and gather together all your gifts and wrapping crafts and put on the Christmas lights! I like to make it really cosy and take an afternoon to wrap all Of my family and friends Christmas gifts.
I really hope this post has helped you get into the spirit of Christmas! I shall see you next time
